BUSINESS · AI · MARRAKECH

I built an AI-powered WhatsApp system for my laundry business in Marrakech. Now I’m looking for partners to build what comes next.

A real business, international customers, demanding day-to-day operations and a system developed on the ground. Now I want to take the next step with a small number of Marrakech businesses.

Long term Partnership and improvement

I’m a developer and entrepreneur based in Marrakech. In my own laundry business, I built a system that combines WhatsApp, artificial intelligence and custom management tools to organise customer requests and get the right information to the team.

Now I want to put that experience to work with other local businesses. I’m not looking to sell a one-size-fits-all chatbot. I’m looking for a few business owners with real problems to solve, who are willing to experiment, share feedback and improve a solution with me over several months.

Where it started

A working laundry business in Marrakech

A system developed around real customer requests, pickup and delivery constraints, and team coordination.

The challenge

International customers under time pressure

Different languages, a first-time experience in Marrakech, tight schedules and sometimes a same-day flight.

What comes next

Building with a few pilot partners

Testing, learning and improving solutions around real business needs over several months.

It started with a very practical problem

Running a laundry business that serves international travellers is about much more than taking an order and washing clothes. Some customers are visiting Marrakech for the first time and are using our service for the first time too. They may write in a language different from the one spoken by the team, be unfamiliar with local arrangements, worry about their clothes or have a very tight schedule.

Some need their laundry back before travelling or catching a flight later the same day. They need clear, timely answers — and, more importantly, a service that can take their real constraints into account.

On our side, we have to coordinate working hours, processing time, staff availability, driver routes, pickup and delivery locations, and the deadlines customers request. A reassuring reply is not enough if the operation cannot deliver on it.

The real challenge is to understand the customer’s situation, check what is actually possible and get the right information to the people who need to act.

What I built to organise customer requests

I developed a WhatsApp-connected workflow that uses AI to help interpret and structure customer requests. The goal is not simply to send automatic replies. It is to turn a sometimes lengthy conversation into useful information for the day-to-day operation.

1. Understand and organise the request

The system helps gather important details: the service requested, preferred times, pickup and delivery locations, time constraints and special requirements. It can also highlight situations that may need extra attention.

2. Prepare a briefing for the team

Instead of asking an employee to read through an entire WhatsApp conversation, the relevant information is organised into an operational briefing. The team can understand the request and the points that need checking more quickly.

3. Make logistics visible

A pickup at a specific address, a delivery deadline, staff working hours and processing time all need to be considered together. The system helps make these details visible; the team still checks feasibility before confirming a commitment.

4. Keep people responsible for important decisions

Automation helps organise and pass on information. It does not replace the team’s judgement when confirming a deadline, accepting an urgent request or handling a sensitive situation. Important points remain subject to human verification.

Why seasonality changes the way a business operates

Tourism-related businesses often experience significant swings in demand: very busy periods lasting a few weeks or months, followed by much quieter periods. These two situations create different challenges.

During peak season: handle demand without losing opportunities

When enquiries arrive at the same time, every repetitive exchange takes time and attention. Organising common questions, collecting essential information earlier and preparing clear handovers can help a team handle more requests while keeping operational constraints in view.

During quieter periods: spend less time on repetitive conversations

Frequently asked questions and long conversations that do not always turn into bookings still take up staff time. Automation can help handle routine enquiries more efficiently, while maintaining a professional welcome and making it easy for a person to step in when needed.

The aim is not to treat some customers as less important. It is to give each enquiry the right level of attention, according to its urgency, complexity and what the business can realistically provide.

What this experience has taught me

A chatbot can answer a question. But a genuinely useful solution must also fit the way a business works: its people, schedules, routes, customers, exceptions and responsibilities.

I have learned to start with the reality on the ground, observe the difficulties, test an initial approach and improve it using real situations. It is also important to recognise which tasks should remain with people and to make verification steps clear.

This practical approach is what I want to develop with other businesses in Marrakech.

I’m looking for a small number of pilot partners in Marrakech

I want to work with a few businesses that receive recurring customer enquiries, coordinate real-world operations or experience seasonal peaks. The profiles I’m particularly interested in include:

  • Riads and guesthouses: guest enquiries, pre-arrival information, schedule changes and team coordination.
  • Property and holiday-rental managers: guest requests, maintenance visits, service providers and operational follow-up.
  • Tour operators and tourism businesses: information requests, lead qualification, itinerary changes and bookings.
  • Other service businesses: repetitive conversations, quote requests, customer follow-up and daily coordination.

I’m not just looking for people who want to try a tool for a few minutes. I’m looking for professionals who know their business, can share concrete problems and want to contribute to improving a solution.

A project measured in months, not days

I want to be transparent about the process: developing something that genuinely fits a business takes time. We need to understand how things work today, choose a priority problem, test an initial approach, observe it in use, fix what does not work and improve the result step by step.

We can begin with one specific need instead of trying to automate the entire business. Before starting, we will agree on the objectives, time commitment, responsibilities and any financial arrangements.

What I’m looking for in a partner

A strong understanding of their own business, concrete examples of recurring problems, a willingness to test ideas and honest feedback — including when something does not work.

What I bring

My experience as a developer and business owner, my skills in programming, AI and automation, and a practical approach based on a system I already use in my own business.

The aim is to learn and make progress together, while creating real value for the partner business. This is neither a promise of a perfect solution in a few days nor an open-ended request to contribute to development without a framework. We will agree on a first objective and how to assess it.

Before we talk about your business, put my system to the test

I’m inviting you to try the WhatsApp service of my own business, Marrakech Laundry. And I suggest you do not make it easy.

Your turn: open a conversation with Marrakech Laundry and interact as if you were a real customer.

Chat with Marrakech Laundry on WhatsApp

Imagine you are the most demanding, stressed and difficult customer you have ever encountered. You are an international traveller, visiting Marrakech for the first time, and your flight leaves tonight. You are in a hurry, you want precise answers and you keep changing your requirements during the conversation.

Write in your own language. Ask about prices and turnaround times. Request a pickup or delivery at a specific time. Place an order, ask to change it or ask what the service can accommodate. Try to find the limits of the system.

After your test, I will personally show you what happens behind the conversation: how important information is organised and how it can be turned into an operational briefing for the team. I will also explain what is automated, what still requires my involvement or an employee’s input, and what could be improved.

You will not just see a chatbot. You will see how a customer conversation connects to the operational work that follows.

At the end of your test, please cancel the order directly in the WhatsApp conversation.

Does your business have a problem we could work on together?

You do not need to know about AI or have a specific tool in mind. You know your business. My role is to understand how you work and explore whether a practical solution could help.

If you are willing to share a concrete problem, test ideas and take part in an improvement process over several months, let’s talk.
